Here you can find the answers to the most frequently asked questions about Airlines Manager.

How to use a promotional code?

To enter a promotional code on mobile:

  1. Log in to your account with your usual credentials.
  2. Tap the nut icon in the bottom right corner of the screen to open the settings menu.
  3. Tap the “Help” button.
  4. Enter your code in the field “Promotional code” then tap the “Valid” button.

To enter a promotional code on the web:

  1. Log in to https://www.airlines-manager.com/
  2. Click “Account management” at the top of the page.
  3. Scroll down and then enter your code in the field named “Use your promotional code”.
What is a PAX?

PAX is a term used by professionals to refer to passengers or customers.

What is the Structural Profit (SP)?

The structural profit represents the actual profits of your airline and enables you to know how much you can invest each day without risking to have your accounts in the red.

What is the Workshop used for?

The Workshop enables you to purchase bonuses to boost your airline with TravelCards. A new workshop is available on the first Friday of every month.

What is the remaining demand?

The remaining demand corresponds to the number of passengers who want but cannot travel via a route. The remaining demand takes into account the schedule of all aircraft flying on the route.

What is a hub?

A Hub is an airport. This is where your aircraft are parked when they are not flying.

What is an alliance?

The alliance is a feature which enables you to create a group with other airline companies to share a hub or make aircraft group purchases with several players. This feature is only available on the Web version of the game 🙂

Where are aircraft equipments?

Aircraft equipments are not yet implemented in the game.

What is the AM+?

The AM+ is a subscription which enables you to browse ad-free on the Web or on mobile (except for the Slot Cockpit’s ads to get more tickets). This subscription also enables you to get information that you usually can’t access about the remaining demand of your passengers when you manage your prices, etc.

Why does not game time match my local time?

The game time is set to UTC at GMT+0 to avoid any disturbance caused by daylight saving time.

As a result, the game time zone may not correspond to your local time zone, but now all players can manage their airline on an equal time basis both on Professional and Tycoon modes.

What is the R&D transfer?

All researches cost a certain amount of Research Dollars (R$). The rate of this currency fluctuates every day. You can change the amount of dollars that you want to convert into R$ with an indicator. The maximum amount of your daily budget can be increased with the R&D in the General section.

What is the Gazette ?

The Gazette is the newspaper of Airlines Manager and it is dealing with events that can impact your airline. It can be events related to the game or aeronautics news. For each Gazette, you can make a choice. The Gazette’s effects can be either positive or negative. The Gazette is available to airlines created for 2 days at least on the mobile application.

What is a license?

A license is an operating right on classic aircraft models sold by manufacturers. Instead of paying some AM Coins in addition to the aircraft price in dollars, you would pay a great amount of AM Coins only once. If you do so, you won’t have to pay any more AM Coins when you purchase the related aircraft model. All licenses remain valid forever 🙂

When I click an aircraft in the schedule, I can't find the route on which I wanted to make it fly, what can I do?

Check the detail of your route to see the aircraft categories accepted by the route, and the route’s length. Your aircraft may not be able to fly on the route if its category is higher than the categories accepted by the route or if the aircraft range is shorter than the route’s length.

When I want to purchase an aircraft, I can choose a SH, a MH or a LH, which one should I choose?

We advise you to purchase your aircraft according to the time you want to spend on Airlines Manager. SH are much more time-consuming, LH are not very challenging and MH are a good compromise between the two. In concrete terms, a SH strategy requires to play at least once a day whereas with a LH strategy, you would only play once a week if you want. In any case, you can achieve good results with all types of aircraft if your strategy is consistent with your choice.

How to earn stars?

Stars are calculated from the average of structural profits over the last seven days. The more you earn money, the more you have stars. Please refer to the article about airline stars and characteristics for more details.

How to invest in the research and development (R&D)?

When you are on the R&D Center’s page, you can see a gauge to adjust the daily budget allocated to R&D. You can increase the maximum amount by developing researches in the R&D (available in the General section). Each invested dollar will be converted into Research Dollars and you will receive the total amount the following day at midnight.

I have developed a research on services, how can I use it?

As you have just developed a new service, you should go to the “Services” page and find the corresponding research to benefit from its advantages. Otherwise, it will have been developed for nothing. Indeed, only bonus researches are automatically activated.

I have done wrong strategic choices and I am bankrupt, what can I do?

You can reset your airline to start over.
On the Web, click “reset airline” at the bottom of the “Account management” page.
On mobile, go to the settings menu, click “Reset airline” then follow the instructions on your screen.

Why routes are more and more expensive on my hub?

This is normal, the more you purchase routes on a hub, the more the next routes will be expensive. Thus you can further use the existing ones or purchase a new hub on which routes will be affordable again.

On the airline network, aircraft are colliding into each other, is it normal?

Yes, in fact, you have assigned several aircraft to the same route, so it is normal at a given time one aircraft flies on the opposite way or is next to another aircraft. However, each aircraft has a specific flight height so they never cross each other. Thus there is no crash possible between them.

When I assign an aircraft to a hub, can I change its hub later?

Yes, you can reassign it to another hub provided that you have another one, other wise you cannot send it elsewhere. To change an aircraft’s hub, go to the Web version of the game then in the details of the aircraft you want to assign elsewhere, you will see a button to change the aircraft’s hub.

Can I improve the comfort by reducing the number of seats?

Reducing the number of seats doesn’t increase the comfort characteristic for the flights the aircraft will make.

How is the turnover calculated?

The turnover is calculated from the ancillary revenue generated by passengers thanks to the different services offered by your airline. It includes many things such as customers’ purchases, advertising revenues, partnerships, etc… You can see the details in the service part.

Do I have to make the schedule every week all over again?

Schedules are automatically repeated without any action on your part.

Do flight hours influence demand?

Flight hours have no influence on demand.

Why is it interesting to sell routes?

The resale of a route enables you to decrease the number of kilometers of open routes thus decreasing the cost to purchase new routes.

What happens when I haven't logged in for a long time?

When you log out of the game, flights keep being calculated for 8 days. Then, they stop being calculated. So if you are away from the game for 8 days, there won’t be any loss. On the other hand, if this period is exceeded, you may lose profits. To learn more, click here.
