Aircraft Resale Value Changes

This post is also available in: frFrançais (French)

Dear CEOs, it has not escaped your notice that we have not released a big feature in a while. While the current health crisis definitely threw a wrench in our plans, we have done our best to get back on track. However, most features we’re working on require a lot of work for them to stand on healthy foundations in terms of raw code, but also in terms of balance and fairness.
That’s why we’d like to announce to you that the next update of Airlines Manager will see significant changes in used planes resale value. Because this change will impact player finances, we’re making sure to warn you now.
The next update will start to roll out on Wednesday November 18th 2020 and see base aircraft resale value drop to 45% of the price, with a possibility to improve this multiplier with research.
This means that a player who bought the IL-96-300 today for $110,000,000 would be able to resell it before this date (without having flown it or after a diligent Check D or use of the Bob Maintenance Game) for the price of $100, 895, 850.
After the update, the IL-96-300 would be worth $49,500,000, entirely repaired to 0% Wear and 1/5 age rating. This would improve with available research.

We’d like to reassure you that this is not something we’re doing without reason. We’re hard at work to bring you more content and features to sink your teeth into and enjoy the best and most in-depth airline management game. This decision is necessary to bring them to you in the coming weeks…

By the way, you are talking a lot about the A330-800. Wouldn’t that be neat if it were to be available for your airline? Well, never fear, CEOs because it’s coming. We’re currently working on it and it’ll be available for your airline soon!

Thank you very much for your patience with us.
Stay in good health and see you soon.
